Madeline is 2!!!

I can't even believe it's been 2 years since Madeline joined our family!  Her independent personality makes us laugh every single day.  Her favorite things these days are playing dress up with her big sister, dancing, being with mommy, singing, favorite movies are Tangled, and of course Monsters, Inc.!  Her favorite foods are Mac n' Cheese, asparagus, yogurt, and grapes.  Watching her grow and turn into her own little person has brought me so much joy.

Of course, those of you that know me well, know I had a big party planned for her.  Unfortunately, the nasty flu going around had different plans.  We were sick for 2 weeks, so I had to cancel the party.  On the bright side, we were all healthy just in time for her birthday, and were still able to have cake and presents with Grandma, Grandpa, and Cousins.  Here are some pictures from our celebration!

Savannah is 4!

I am having a really hard time believing Savannah will turn 4 in a few days.  It seems like just yesterday I found out I was pregnant with her!  People don't lie when they say your child will grow up in the blink of an eye.  Savannah is getting so big and maturing so much.  She is loving going to preschool 3 mornings a week and loves her teacher and friends.  Her latest interests are My Little Pony, Strawberry Shortcake, playing pretend with her sister, and counting down the days until our upcoming trip to Disneyland!

I took her to have her 4 year old pictures taken today so here they are!  Of course, I had to do a little reminiscing in the process :)

Madeline is 18 Months!

I can't even believe that our sweet girl is already a year and a half!  Seriously, where did the time go??  She is at such a fun age and we're having so much fun with her.  She's is definitely a "fireball" as Derek likes to call her :)  Her personality is so different from her sister's, it's really fun to see her little personality develop.

At her 18 month check up she weighed in at 22 pounds, 31 1/2" and perfectly healthy!  She is already using the potty which we are pretty impressed with!  She is talking a ton and running all over the place. Here are some recent pictures of our Maddie.

4th of July!

We had such a fun 4th of July!  Derek's Grandparents and Great Grandma came to visit us for a week.  Not only did we get to celebrate Derek's birthday on the 4th, we got to celebrate his Grandma's birthday 2 days later!  We had such a fun time!  Savannah loved the fireworks this year which was a complete 180 from last year.  Here are a bunch of pictures, hope you enjoy!

Mexico Getaway

Derek and I just got back from our trip to Mexico a few days ago and we had a fabulous time.  I am so grateful to my husband and how hard he works so that we've been able to go on these trips for the past two years.  Making President's Club is definitely not an easy thing to do!  It was so wonderful to get some alone time together and in such a beautiful place.  I have to give a huge thanks to Grandma for taking on the girls for 5 days so that we could go, definitely not an easy thing to take on!  Savannah is going through the "terrible 3's" and Maddie is in a major mommy phase, but Grandma handled it no problem!

We didn't take too many pictures as we spent the entire time at the resort relaxing by the pool, going to the beach, taking naps, getting facials and massages at the spa, making new friends....it doesn't get much better than that!  We had stormy weather for 2 out of the 5 days but you won't find us complaining! Tulip Festival 2012

Today we took our annual visit to the Tulip Festival!  It was a beautiful day and a lot of fun.  Derek and Savannah started out the trip with a tractor ride around the festival.  Then we ventured off to see the tulips!  You will notice that most of the pictures are of Madeline.  That's not because she is our favorite child...haha!  Savannah wanted nothing to do with taking pictures today so we took what we could get!  I couldn't narrow down the pictures so here are all of my favorites!
