Halloween 2013

We had a fantastic Halloween in our new house!  It's not very common these days to go trick or treating in a small town neighborhood where the fire department comes to patrol the streets to make sure the kids can have fun in a safe environment, it was awesome!  My neighbors warned me to get a lot of candy since our neighborhood is the one all the kids in the neighboring towns come to for trick or treating.  I bought 3 Costco sized candy bags and that was just barely enough....500 pieces!  We've started a tradition of spending Halloween with our good friends the Gick Family, and the girls always have a blast.  They spent about 45 minutes trick or treating, and the rest of the night passing out candy (I think they enjoyed that part more)!  Here are pictures from our night!

Savannah's 5th Birthday Party!

We had Savannah's birthday party at Pump It Up, a local place that has tons of bounce houses and slides.  She had a fabulous time!  So many of her friends came and had a blast jumping around.

I took Savannah to her 5 year check up yesterday.  I definitely left feeling like a proud mommy.  Her Pediatrician was impressed with how mature and confident she is for a 5 year old.  She said she has excellent social skills, and is very astute for her age.  We also had a very funny moment during her eye test.  The nurse was pointing out all the shapes for her, she got circle, star, square, but then he pointed to a cross...she didn't know the proper word for it, so she said "where Jesus died" - it was hilarious!

Savannah's 5 Year Pictures

Savannah is going to be 5 on Sunday, and I am in a little bit of denial that she is getting so big.  It seems like just yesterday the doctor surprised me with the fact that I was pregnant!  Savannah has gone from being a shy and quiet toddler, to a confident, assertive, outgoing, loving and smart 5 year old.  She is a great big sister, and an amazing daughter.  She is always aiming to please and be helpful.  She loves her preschool, and is excelling in her dance class.  I am so proud of her, and excited to see what the next year brings for her.

Pumpkin Patch Adventures

We've had so much fun going to local pumpkin patches.  From cutting our own pumpkins, do playing in corn, to jumping on a giant inflatable pumpkin, we've had a blast!
